It has produced a globally dominant consumer market that pervades the dreams and fantasies of people the world over. It has also routinely engaged in the repression and exploitation of these very same people. Liberty has become equated with the freedom to choose between lemon and spring scents. America needs to be more about the freedom to shop. The work being submitted to "Art and Democracy" pokes at these contradictions through the meta(eu)phoric lens of gleeful absurdism. "Bring It On!" and "FPC" targets the policies of our current President. "Weebles Wobble" critiques the seesawing inadequacies of a two-party political system. Sweatshop labor is addressed in "Space." "Pin the Tail On the Scapegoat" makes a game of racism and patriotism. Please let me know if you have trouble opening any of the files. Thanks!
